We are delighted to introduce Emerson Davis for our latest edition of #HowTheyDoDapper.

We were connected to Emerson initially when were featured together in the nFocus 2022 Steeplechase Style Guide (you can see the full guide here!) Or should we say, we were featured ON Emerson. After seeing the incredible images by the talented Daniel Meigs we thought - this guy makes us look really good and we need to know him!

Upon chatting with him further, we quickly learned that Emerson's grace and charm extends far beyond portraits. His love of well-tailored pieces, classic neutrals, and a statement accessory were all reasons to welcome him into the C+L "fold" with open arms.

Tell us a little bit about the story you're writing in your Clifton+Leopold:

My C+L tie gives my outfit some personality. In terms of style I lean towards minimalism. I like to go for neutral tones and use accessories to add color. The right tie, watch, or pocket square can completely elevate an outfit.

I love my C+L lapel pin because it's such a small detail, but on a suit it makes a huge difference.

What is currently atop your C+L wishlist?

I’m definitely interested in getting one of the candles, in any fragrance, for my room.

It's a Saturday! What are you doing?

I'm usually finding something cool to do in Nashville. Moving here from Atlanta, I’ve loved exploring the city and discovering my favorite spots.

Your ultimate dapper icon:

I get a lot of my style inspiration from Daniel Craig in any of the '007 movies. His outfits are never too loud, but everything is tailored perfectly with neutral colors. I try to adopt those aspects into my own style.

It's quitting time on any given day. What are you sipping on?

Since moving here I've gotten to try a lot of bourbon. I'd go for a Kentucky Mule!

A dance party is not complete without (song or artist):

At a dance party, I have to hear Off the Wall by Michael Jackson, but anything by MJ gets me going.

Tell us, what makes you feel dapper?

A tailored dress shirt with the right accessories, including a watch, makes me feel invincible.
